ASX November rally set to continue; Dow Jones breaks 30,000

  • ASX futures up 36 points or 0.5% shortly before 6am
  • Dow Jones Industrial Average breaks through 30,000 points for the first time. Closes 1.2% higher at 29,591 points, S&P gains 0.6% and Nasdaq gains 1.3%
  • AUD buys US73.59¢, New Zealand dollar above US80¢ for the first time since 2018. Gold prices fall nearly 2% to $US1808.24 per ounce
  • Oil rises higher with Brent crude up 3.9% to $US47.85 a barrel, WTI crude up 4.4% to $US44.95 a barrel
