A second person who went missing in the remote Northern Territory outback has been found alive, ending a three-day police search.
Mahesh Patrick, 14 and Shaun Emitja, 21, were reported missing by family members last week after they failed to return to the remote community of Hermannsburg, about 131 kilometres from Alice Springs, after spending the weekend at Arlparra.
The two companions were believed to have been missing in the area of Arlparra and Harts Range since Tuesday.
Mahesh was found in bushland about 9:30pm on Friday by a community member, police said.
They said the teenager had been taken to the Arlparra clinic where he was treated for dehydration and sore feet from walking in the remote area.
His companion Mr Emitja has now also been found, police said in a statement on Sunday morning.
The 21-year-old was found about 9:45pm on Saturday, and was undergoing health checks but appeared well, police said.
Police said the pair had become separated on Wednesday after leaving their bogged vehicle a day earlier, meaning Mr Emitja had been on his own for more than four days, possibly without food or water.
Police thanked everyone involved in the search.
