The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion was filmed on January 6, with no air date.
And fans went wild when they got a glimpse of the Housewives’ fashion choices for the season 2 reunion on Thursday night – specifically Jen Shah’s unique fashion choice.
A fan account posted a side by side of Jen in her purple ensemble with The Emperor’s New Groove villain Yzma – who rocked a similar look – which the star did not take too kindly too.
Jen clapped back at the comparison and clarified that she was inspired by Cardi B, snapping back that she ‘wouldn’t expect you to know that’ to the fan account.
The fan account put the side by side of Jen in her dark purple feathered gown by Jean-Louis Sabaji with Yzma, who wore a similar style number.
They captioned it: ‘Clearly Yzma from Emperor’s New Groove was Jen’s reunion fashion inspiration.’
Jen wrote in the comments: ‘It was actually @iamcardib but I wouldn’t expect you to know that.’
The fan account snapped back: ‘Never heard of her,’ adding a cheeky emoji.
Cardi B wore the purple dress while hosting the American Music Awards.
The filming took place on January 12 with Jen’s legal woes most likely covered, as it was part of the second season story line.
Jen tearfully declared her innocence during an episode of the show, as she talked to her husband Sharrieff Shah.
The 48-year-old reality star and her assistant Stuart Smith, 43, were arrested in March 2021 and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with an alleged telemarketing scheme that defrauded innocent, often elderly, people.
‘I’m at the lowest point of my life. That I have told you from day one, I am innocent. I did not do any of those things, and when we got married, for better or for worse …And this is for worse right now,’ Jen said sniffling.
‘It’s a burden because of what happened, but I’m telling you, I knew nothing of this. I didn’t do anything,’ she added with her voice cracking.
‘Okay. Okay, baby. I believe you,’ Sharrieff assured her.
