Andrew Forrest’s FMG loses CFO just three months into job

Andrew Forrest’s Fortescue Group has lost yet another executive with the company announcing the “departure” of its chief financial officer for Fortescue Metals, Christine Morris, after just 90 days in the job.

Her departure comes just four days after the shock exit of Fortescue’s mining chief executive Fiona Hick upending the management team of Forrest’s cash machine for the second time in a week.

Morris started in the role on June 1 and reported to Hick in Fortescue’s metal business.

In a statement to the ASX after the close of markets, the company said its group manager finance and tax, Apple Paget, had been appointed Fortescue Metals’ Acting CFO.

More to come.
