A woman who was stabbed in Adelaide’s north overnight has died in hospital, as police continue to question a woman who was arrested after the incident.

Police and paramedics were called to a block of units on Brooklyn Terrace at Kilburn just after 1am.

They found the 45-year-old victim with a stab wound to her leg.

She was treated at the scene and then rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.

“Sadly, the woman from Pennington died in hospital this morning,” police said.

A 26-year-old from Christie Downs was earlier arrested.

Police have said they are continuing to interview her.

“She is expected to be charged later today,” police said.

The incident was not random and the two women are known to each other, police said.

Police have asked anyone with information that may assist their investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Meanwhile, a man and a woman from Victoria have both been charged after an overnight break-in at a Warradale hair salon.

Police responded to an alarm at the salon on Diagonal Road just before 2:30am.

“CCTV captured two people at the premises who were then seen to leave in a silver SUV,” police said.

The vehicle was tracked to North Brighton but a pursuit was terminated for safety reasons, police said.

The SUV was spotted a short time later turning into Raymond Grove, a dead-end street.

As it reversed it hit a police car and a parked car, as well as a caravan which received significant damage.

No-one was injured and a 30-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, both from Victoria, were charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft.

The man was also charged with acts to endanger life and driving to evade a police pursuit.

They are expected to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court.
