ASX futures lower, but iron ore prices keep rising

- ASX futures are down 10 points or 0.2% to 6661 and hint at an early retreat for the local benchmark
- Overnight on Wall Street the Dow Jones closed -0.5% lower and the S&P 500 fell -0.2%, but the Nasdaq gained +0.5%
- Iron ore has risen further, up another 1.3% to $US146.93 a tonne. Spot gold is up 1.2% to $US1863.90 an ounce.
- The Aussie dollar is at US74.23 cents and hit an overnight high of 74.53 US cents, its best in more than two years
