Two men have been arrested amid an investigation into ideologically motivated violent extremism, with one found in possession of explosive devices.
SA Police said in a statement it searched a number of properties across metropolitan Adelaide and arrested the men yesterday.
A 32-year-old-man from Munno Para was arrested for possession of an improvised explosive device and possessing instructions for manufacturing explosives and prohibited and dangerous weapons.
The second man — a 28-year-old man from Surrey Downs — was arrested for possession of extremist material.
Both have been charged and have been bailed to face court in coming months.
“The investigation remains ongoing and there has been no known threat to any person or the public,” a police spokesperson said.
