Explaining Tasmania’s Hare-Clark voting system

Sky News Political Reporter Tom Connell takes a look at and explains Tasmania’s Hare-Clark electoral system.

“Tasmania has used the Hare-Clark system since 1909 and it remains the state’s often confusing but still colourful format,” he said.

“There are five electorates in Tasmania and each of these elects five members, but it’s not as simple as the most popular five candidates getting elected.”
